World of Warcraft Item Upgrade and Set Bonuses
The upgrade for an item is an enchantment that increases the base stats of certain armor or weapons. This includes tertiary stats such as Leech or Speed.

Leveling
Upgrades allow players to upgrade their items by increasing their levels. The increase in level also increases the item's "guaranteed" bonuses. Every time an item gets upgraded, it will cost an amount of gold which could be better spent on a new piece of gear. This cost is the reason why it is best to only upgrade the most essential items in any given scenario.
This is essentially upgrading the weapon, then the legs, chest and the helm. If the player is able to afford it upgrading trinkets must be done in this stage to increase their potential to trigger. For instance, a top-of-the-line Throne of Thunder trinket may be worth upgrading for the more damage that its procs can bring. However, certain trinkets are not worth upgrading unless they can provide an important boost for a specific build. This is especially true of the breakpoint gear that is that is used for stats with high value, such as IAS or FHR.
Rerolling
Rerolling is a mechanic that lets players change the stats of a weapon, armor or ring, based on the kind. It is a way to add new bonuses or replace existing ones. It can also alter the power of the base item.
While rerolling can be a good way to boost your power in the initial stages of the game it's not a necessary part of the process. Once you reach the level 6 upgrade goal, it is usually better to reroll and find the most effective upgrades or save up cash to purchase the next set of items. This will ensure that you have a strong collection of items by the time you hit your level 9 upgrade goal.
Rerolling is similar to the system of leveling up. Reroll tokens are a way to remove a Level Up option from your item and swap it for another. However unlike Level Up, reroll tokens do not reset the item's level. This means that when you reroll an upgraded item, it will no longer be at that level and will not have the additional bonus.
In addition to rerolling, players may use a special technique called Eliminate to remove any Level Up option from their weapons or equipment. This is a great option when you've had a bad gacha result or want to reroll a five-star unit. To do this, you'll need to create an account, or log in through social media.
In every town, you are able to visit an Occultist to alter the Aspects or the stats of a weapon or armor. This is helpful if you want to improve an epic five-star character or even if your four-star elite player is causing you problems.
Another method of rerolling an item is by using the rerolling tokens that are obtained through the completion of quests. These can be bought from the Occultist at 300 gold, or found in holozons, which are dropped in certain dungeons. You can reroll any armor, weapon or ring by moving the icon on the page of your unit and locking the lock to the desired slot.
Sets
A set is a collection of things which have some commonality. You use sets every day, such as dozen eggs or a set of friends. They are beneficial because they let you organize things, and also operations like union, intersection and difference can help you manage them efficiently. Sets can be utilized in many ways, including arranging music on a list of play lists or classifying students based on their grades.
In Nioh, the game uses sets to give special effects for players who wear certain pieces of an Armor Set. improve items , referred to Set Bonuses, are similar and sometimes better than Effects. Although it's not clear in-universe why the armor sets have to be worn together in order to create these extra effects, they can provide some variety when playing the game. The armor sets that have Set Bonuses are available in various locations throughout Hyrule and include the Dark Moon and Twilight Temple.
Set Bonuses are associated with every piece of equipment in the Set. You can find out which ones are available by hovering over the item and then looking at the tooltip near the bottom. The Set Bonuses will be displayed in an orange box.
Certain Set Bonuses are exclusive to a specific piece equipment. For instance, if you have the complete Phantom Armor set you will get +8 defense (compared to the standard +3 defense that comes with most equipment). Certain sets can only be obtained through completing specific tasks or by purchasing them from the Auction House.
It is possible to earn Set Bonuses for multiple pieces of equipment at the same time. If you own the entire Kestra's Descent Set and the corresponding parts of Twinblade of Shadow, you will be able to get the + version of the set's bonus if you soul match them.

Set bonuses

The most important thing to keep in mind is that the strength of a set's bonus does not change if you exemplar more than three levels below the minimum levels that are allowed for an Enhancement of that type. Purple (Very Rare) Sets, PvP sets and Archetype Origin sets are exempt from this restriction and their set bonuses are in effect regardless of the level of the item's exemplar.
